I'm forced to agree with this commenter:

align myself with these people. I need to step back and rethink how my Christianity relates to my Conservativism. Anyone else
creeped out by this?

I guess it would also be a really good time for me to admit that I have never understood a single thing Russel Kirk
ever wrote. He's just too boring and uptight to bother with.
